NERS has a supported housing project which provides housing to individuals granted leave to remain, who are also vulnerable and in need of further support.
The service provides short term housing and appropriate individualised support for up to two years and until clients can move on from supported housing to independent living.
The support includes securing welfare benefits, managing a tenancy, household and advice on budgeting and finances; accessing health and social care services, accessing ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) and other relevant education services and accessing employment and training services. We also provide support with accessing community activities and linking with refugee community organisations, counselling and any additional needs.
