I’m a refugee seeking advice

NERS / I’m a refugee seeking advice

Our integration service provides support to those granted refugee status and leave to remain to help them rebuild lives in the UK. This service is vitally important in preventing destitution among those who receive Leave to Remain and are required to find accommodation and financial support within 28 days. We look both to immediate needs, such as housing and finance, and also to the longer term as finding educational and employment opportunities.

If you have recently been granted leave to remain or if you are returning to us for help, we offer advice on the following:

  • Face to Face advice
  • Move on advice for people who have recently been granted status
  • Help applying for welfare benefits
  • Accessing health services
  • Getting into employment, education and training
  • Employability Skills and Career Management provision: Refugees Into Sustainable Employment (RISE)
  • Improve your English with our ESOL classes
  • Information and referrals to other services
Donate through NERS and help the refugees
