I’m an Asylum Seeker

NERS / I’m an Asylum Seeker

I’m an Asylum SeekerOur Asylum Advice Service provide advice and support to people throughout all stages of their asylum process -from the pre-asylum application stage, through the time the claim is in process, and if granted refugee status or leave to remain, during the transition into mainstream society.

We also provide impartial and independent advice for those whose application for asylum has been refused and their support is terminated, advising on rights and entitlements and where appropriate, working jointly with client and immigration and asylum lawyers in exploring further steps that can be taken.

For some clients the option of Assisted Voluntary Return (AVR) to their home country may be appropriate in which case referrals for such a specific advice will be made. In those cases, we assist people who have ‘No Recourse to Public Funds’ to return to their country of origin with dignity if they wish.
