Refugee Jobseeker's Project
Talented and highly employable Refugee Jobseeker's are rarely given the support required to bring them closer to education training and employment opportunities. The situation is now widely recognised by local Jobcentres and other organisations supporting Refugee's as unjustifiable and urgent action required.
NERS has secured funding to design and deliver a pilot training programme for Refugee Jobseeker's who wish to explore their career aspirations, and establish realistic steps to achieveing them.
The programme commences 2nd November 2018, and will run over 12 group and 1-1 sessions.
Travel costs will be reimbursed.
Participants must be able to speak reasonably good English, and in receipt of Work Related Benefits (Jobseeker Allowance / Universal Credit).
The programme is additionally supported by Employer Engagement Teams based at Jobcentre Plus, whom are working with local employers willing to employ Refugee Jobseekers.
