Volunteer Opportunity at NERS!

We currently have an exciting volunteering opportunity with the Supported Housing Project in Newcastle, which provides accommodation whilst giving intensive support to help people move on with their lives and achieve their potential.

We are looking for passionate individuals with good English and basic computer skills who can ideally speak either Arabic or Farsi. You do not need any previous experience, just passion to help others and be willingto learn! We provide the relevant training.

DESCRIPTION

You are invited to join us on Tuesday 10th July for a special screening of the ‘The Fog of Srebrenica’ with award-winning director Samir Mehanovic, who will be introducing the documentary and joining us for a post-screening question and answer session, chaired by the Bosnian British Institute.

 ESOL Tutor   North of England Refugee Service (NERS) 

 

NERS is a charity working across the North East committed to providing quality support services to help asylum seekers and refugees living in the region. 

 

ESOL@NERS (North of England Refugee Service) have a vacancy for an ESOL tutor to work up to 8 hours a week during term time. This is a temporary post with a salary of £15.25/16.85 per hour. 

 

Volunteers wanted

If you are looking for a volunteering opportunity in a friendly supportive environment with like minded people, ESOL at NERS may have something to offer you. We are looking for both ESOL teachers and teaching assistants to support adults and young people, mostly asylum seekers and refugees, in a caring, professional environment,. Training and support will be given. We are also keen to create a support platform that enables some of our clients to access ESOL in their homes.
